Inclement Weather

We’ll announce school closures and morning delays between 6:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on radio stations KGY (1240), KGY FM (96.9), KAYO (99.3) KELA (1470), KXXO (96.1 FM), KMNT (102.9 FM), and KITI (1240); and TV stations KOMO, KING, and KIRO. Buses may operate on special “snow routes” as listed below. These radio stations will announce early dismissals due to inclement weather. Please plan for adequate home supervision in the event that unscheduled early dismissal of students is necessary. If you have updated emergency information for your child, please contact the school immediately. If we don’t make an announcement, schools and buses will operate on regular schedules.


Kindergarten and Preschool
If we delay school two hours or more, we will cancel morning kindergarten and preschool classes. We also will not serve breakfast on late start days.
 
  
BUS 2
  • Students on Marshall Road and 123th Rd. will be picked up at Offut Lake and Marshall Road.
  • Students in Bronson St. (Bryant, Blake, Bronson, and Sanford Streets) will be picked up on Offut Lake Road.
 
BUS 3
  • Students on Tempo Lk. will walk out to Stedman Road.
  • Students in River Park will walk out to Waldrick Road.
  • Students on 116th, Walona, and Laurel will walk out to Waldrick Rd.
BUS 4
  • Students from Dyson and Blumauer Roads will be picked up at the bottom of Blumauer Hill.
BUS 5
  • No bus service in Bucoda Park. Students will be picked up at 8th and Nenant.
 
BUS 6
  • No changes.
BUS 7
  • (Spec Needs) Parents will be notified.
BUS 8
  • Students on Gibson Road (dead-end) will load at Prairie Villa.  Kayleen & Sheldon will load at 169th & Gibson.
 
BUS 9
  • Students on Churchill Road will be picked up on Highway 507. 
  • Students on Military and Deschutes Colony will be picked up on Highway 507 and Military Road.
 
BUS 10
  • Students on Beaver Creek, Gunstone, Reeder, Peterson, and 150th will be picked up in Maytown. 
  • Students on 140th and 142nd Road will load on Tilley Road.
 
BUS 11
  • Students on Wright Road will be picked up on 155th / Tilley. 
  • Students on Knowles Road will be picked up at the end of Knowles Road / 143rd. 
  • Students on 155th, 157th, & 159th walk out to Tilley.
 
BUS 12
  • Students on Thompson Creek Road will be picked up on Skookumchuck Road.
  • Students on Johnson Creek will be picked up at Johnson Creek / Skookumchuck Road.
  • Students on Tyrell will be picked up on Skookumchuck / Tyrell.
BUS 13
  • No stops on slopes of Chein Hill. Wait at stop at top or bottom of hill. 
  • Students on Patsy Ct., Lorraine Dr., Sheldon, 113th, and Chauser will pick up at McCorkle and Sheldon Road. Bus will not go up Sheldon Road. 
  • Students will be picked up at Sheldon / McCorkle.
 
BUS 14, 15, 18
  • Parents notified by phone of changes, if any.
 
BUS 16
  • Students on Melville will be picked up on 99. 
  • Students on Violet Prairie (behind the grange) picked up at the Violet Prairie Grange.
 
BUS 17
  • Huston Street students will be picked up on Highway 507/9th.
  • Students on Wright St., 7th, 8th, Abby and Front will be picked up on Sumner by the tracks at 6th and Sumner.
 
 
Parents/guardians must transport students to nearest stop whenever special “snow route” schedule is in effect.
